Ghost hotel

Very difficult to review a hotel that was closed. We arrived at 3 pm to check in. The gates were closed across the drive and there was no sign of life. Rang the hotel but surprise, surprise the number was out of service. Managed to find somewhere for 3 nights. Apparently we weren’t the first people this had happened to. Locals said it had been closed for a few months. If so, why did booking websites have it as being available? Still waiting for news of a refund 😤.

Hotel was closed up, rubbish having driven 5 hours with 2 children to find we cannot access the hotel, do not book, luckily we were able to find something else
