Dicey roads and limited services
Posted 9 Mar 2018 on HotelsBest internet I had on the island, but limited front desk availability and limited services on site. Restaurant was an unknown to us...you had to book 24 hours in advance. Billiards table was broken. No equipment for ping pong table. Roads were dangerous getting to the hotel. Nice views. We had to drive to another town for food or groceries.

Pros: Beautiful view.
Cons: Reliable information from Expedia.
The property and room were okay. Disappointed that we were promised in e mail two queen beds by Expedia. Upon arrival we were told that no such configuration existed. We ended up with one double bed and a trundle bed. They stated that Expedia lies. They did as much as they could to accommodate us.
We were not told that you must bring your own supplies (toilet paper, paper towels etc) as there are none in the room. Had to leave property to go and get supplies. Would not like to arrive at night and find there is no toilet paper and the stores are closed. Everything was inventoried even the air conditioner that was attached to the wall. Only thing not inventoried was the welcome mat.
Disappointed with Expedia for providing incorrect information. Will not use again.

What an adventure!
Posted 5 Mar 2017 on HotelsThe hotel is located in a remote location on the northwest side of Martinique with spectacular views of the Caribbean sea and the volcano Mt. Pelee. It is an hours drive from the airport and even the highway along the coast is very windy and hilly. You will need a rental car to get to the location as well as get around. The front office is not staffed all the time and this information is not very clear. You will have to make prior arrangements for late arrivals so there will be someone to open the gate.
Some of the staff speak good English and were friendly and accommodating. We had a spacious 2 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and a fridge. There was a separate living room. There were ample towels and pillows and sheets. There is breakfast available for an extra fee. Don't leave food and trash out as there are lots of ants and roaches as can be expected in a tropical climate.
The hotel is a 10 minute drive from the town of St.Pierre which has restaurants, grocery stores, boat rides and gas stations. The town was rebuilt after it was destroyed by the volcano, so it is very historic with ruins. The zoo just outside town was really nice and worth a visit. Everything in town shuts down by afternoon, so it is important to plan.
The infinity pool was spectacular with sweeping views of the Caribbean sea, specially during sunset. The views of Mt.Pelee were just stunning. We would highly recommend this hotel to families with an adventurous spirit.

It is clean, beautiful and the view is AMAZING
Posted 24 Feb 2017 on HotelsIt was an amazing location. The only hicups we had was a little trouble off communication with them. After 5 PM no one is there... but our flight landed around 4PM far from there. I know it's on us, but it was marked as open until 8PM. A nice couple helped us in and then called for us the person in charge. From there everything was A1 and they were amazing with us.
It is clean, beautiful, brand new and the view is something else ! I highly recommend it.

Very small hotel run by nice family. Nice pool
Posted 28 Jan 2017 on OrbitzNorth end of Martinique is not a tourist area. Kinda nice not seeing bunch of cruise people or other vacationiers. Note: very few restaurants and seldom open. Also, no night life

Great Place in Martinique

The hotel is at a scenery location between Mount Pelée and the Caribbean Sea.
During our recent stay around Christmas time, we could see magnificent views at sunset from the balcony every day. The gated property has a large garden down the hill and a well maintained swimming pool. It gave us a sense of privacy and allowed us to relax. Our unit was well equipped and clean. The hotel workers were also friendly and helpful.
Nearby, there are other hotels and many family farms. All neighbors we tried to have conversations with were very friendly. The hotel is about 15 km north of the tourist town, Saint Pierre, where one can find markets and restaurants.
You need a car to drive there from Fort de France for about 50 minutes and you’d be better off with GPS.

Beautiful, large, clean/safe & friendly management

Pros: Great option in an area where there are few options.
Cons: Have to blast the A/C in the bedrms to get the family room/kitchen cool. Can't separate door key from A/C key so locked in at night if you want A/C on
Location: Hiking around Mount Pelee, Depaz Rum Distillery, San Pierre ruins, restaurants, history. 12 mile one-way hike between Caribbean and Atlantic Oceans.
Beautiful pool setting to relax in while watching the sunset over outstanding view. Playground and outdoor grill areas were updated and safe. Full kitchen and dining area was great for family dinner. Private, outside porch area a plus. Much better accommodation with greater value than in San Pierre. No dinner served or beach area, but San Pierre is only an easy 15 minute drive. Good location to hike Mount Pelee (given there are so few options as you get closer). Best balance between location, budget, great accommodations and tourist attractions.
