Excellent service at buffet and restaurant. Very bad service at reception . Air conditioning didn’t work and it took 3 days to get a new room. Very hard to get a reservation , since there are only 2 restaurants.

What we liked - bedrooms were modern and clean. Plenty of sunbeds around the two pools and on the beach. Food was OK with plenty of choice - the specialist restaurants were very good. Staff very friendly and gave excellent service. South of the island was pretty.
What we did not like - WiFi kept dropping out and did not work in our room for 2 of the 7 days. Evening entertainment we felt was poor. Only had low calorie coke drink - would have liked more low calorie soft drinks. Felt underneath the sunbeds could have been cleaned at least every other day.

The overall stay was ok at best; Riu has dine in restaurants that guests can book through the app, however, it is impossible to book any; we stayed for a whole week and couldn’t get not 1 reservation for either restaurants, and front desk was no help in regards to that issue as well; another issue was the food, ok at best, however lacks variety, it was almost the same thing every night, and the cocktails were pretty subpar; last but not least we were damn near harassed to check out, I don’t know if this is a general practice, but a phone call to the room would’ve sufficed at notifying us about the check out time ( which we abided by) and not 2 consecutive in person notifications.
All in all Mauritius was wonderful but Riu made the experience subpar.

Riu turquoise is a beautiful hotel, the rooms look like the pictures. The all inclusive food is quite tasty and there is a lot of choice.
The swimming pools are clean and warm. The beach area is beautiful, the water is green/blue.
The staff are very friendly, lots of activities and entertainment for children and adults
The location can be quite windy, which makes it a good spot for water sports.
The cleaning of the rooms is not amazing. The standard is quite bad, no bleach was used and the mopped floors still left hairs and a horrible damp smell.
There was no flexiblility regarding check in and out time. Usually we pay extra to have access to the room until departure due to us having young children.

Hotel was in a beautiful part of the island, right on the beach and close to the mountain of Le Morne. Facilities at the hotel were good, with varied activities available daily and entertainment each evening. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Franchement passez votre chemin. Et nous sommes loin d’être exigeants!
Repas: médiocres,
Cantine scolaire, aucune qualité, un buffet ou la quantité prime sur la qualité, on a préféré manger en dehors malgré le prix payé.
Chambre pas nettoyée,
Produits de douche vides pendant tout le séjour,
Hôtel situé sur la pointe au sud, la plus venteuse de l’île, piscine froide et très très très exposée au vent, mer idem, impossible de se baigner. Zone enfant, qui vend du rêve mais très très très très exposée au vent, eau plus que froide + le vent: inutilisable.
En gros : c’est une grosse usine à fric, sans âme, sans mauriciens, et surtout sans base d’un hôtel de ce nom. Du bas de gamme honteux pour ce prix là.
Passez votre chemin.
Chambre mal agencée : surtout la salle de bain.
On a l’habitude des hôtels moins prestigieux ou même des Airbnb on est vraiment pas exigeants de base.
Regardez les photos: piscine vide.
Plage pleine d’algues.

Séjour en couple du 5 au 18/11/24.
La prestation de l’hôtel était excellente dès notre arrivée ; le personnel est au petit soin et très agréable. Ils veillent constamment à ce que les espaces restent propres. Concernant les différents repas, c’est très varié et l’hôtel propose même deux restaurants à thème mais il faut réserver via l’App RIU et ce, 48h à l’avance (c’est d’ailleurs plutôt difficile d’avoir des places mais nous avons pu tester les deux restaurants durant notre séjour). Les piscines sont relativement chaudes sous le soleil (petit pour le bar dans l’eau) et le vent ne nous a absolument pas gêné, il est plutôt agréable à cette période. Les nombreux transats permettent de choisir son emplacement et même de changer durant la journée. De nombreuses animations sont proposées même le soir et c’est très bien isolé, aucune nuisance sonore n’était audible en dehors de cet espace dédié (zone avec bar et scène). L’hôtel dispose d’un bar ouvert 24/7 avec des en-cas.
Je recommande l’hôtel et nous reviendrons très certainement avec nos deux enfants car l’infrastructure permet notamment aux plus jeunes de s’amuser (espace « Aqualand »).
