We took the blankets off because of the high temperature ( july and august around 40° ) . Secured garage are closed at the same time as the desk.

Decent room and shower room. Did not like to be charged in UK sterling when staying in France but was told it was hotel rule. They said we could leave car in garage until 1200 but when we arrived after 1200 everything was locked and we have no keys and password. It was a good job that one of us remembered the password.

If I book a hotel on the Internet, I'd appreciate being able to correspond online/via email. The front desk closes at 10pm--this needs to be much clearer in the reservation information. When I finally saw that, I emailed the hotel letting them know we would be in on the 11pm train and would require a late check in. They responded by email that's no problem, just call us and we will tell you what to do. No international phone service, all they needed to do was email me the info and we would have been fine. The manager lectured us to no end when he finally arrived to let us in. No worries, lesson learned. Every cheap room has its price!

Needs updating

Posted 4 Oct 2015
Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: See above
Location: The advertising made it appear the hotel was on the canal. It was in fact a 1/2 mile walk. The Horreum was interesting. Thursday Market was huge.
The bathroom was small, shower paneling peeling, mold around the cracks. Shower curtain had to be tucked inside shower and stayed wet for 4 days. Only towels provided were 2 bath towels and a tub mat. Breakfast a little slim for 9.5 euros.
