The Holiday inn canceled our reservation. We were on a trip to Western NC for our sons marching band competition. Which was just hit by the hurricane. We had so much unsurety due to hurricane we did pay later. Which we did before through Expedia. We paid when we arrived at hotel, with no problem. Well the Hilton did not wait for us to arrive at hotel and canceled our reservation. We arrived at hotel approximately 6pm the day of reservation.With no reservation no rooms anywhere and we had our daughter with us. We will never reserve at Holiday Inn again. Never experienced this before. I can see if we arrived at midnight. We had to go 40 minutes away to the SPARK Hilton which was fabulous. Thank you Hilton.

We apologize that hotel couldn't hold your reservation until you arrived at the hotel for a stay that was booked with invalid form of payment. The card you had provided would not authorize for your stay on the day of the arrival. We notified you thru Expedia's messaging system as well leaving messages on the phone number provided with your reservation to provide a valid form of payment. You had selected pay at the hotel option, and in order to hold your reservation hotel would require a valid form of payment. We made multiple attempts to reach you but were unsuccessful. Our request for a valid form of payment is still outstanding in Expedia. As we explained to you when you arrived, hotel held the reservation until 3PM on the day of arrival but with no response from you unfortunately we had to cancel your reservation. In future for room to be guaranteed a valid form of payment is required at the time of reservation. This would eliminate cancellation of your reservation for invalid credit cards. I hope this doesn't deter you from choosing our hotel for your future hotel stays.

We drove up from Florida to escape huricane Milton. The staff at this Holiday Inn was very accomodating. Jasmine at the front desk was wonderful. She let us check in early. Also, when we found out that our power was restored in our home, Jasmine arranged for us to check out 2 days earlier without incurring extra cost. Big cudos to Jasmine.

Hotel was great except the staff were not helpful when there a was a discrepancy with prices.
