Clean safe place to sleep for last minute booking

Posted 9 Aug 2016 on Hotels
Last minute booking so wouldn't be first choice for location. Note that the hotel closes early and had to pay extra 20 Euros to arrive about 9:30pm, but were grateful for that option. The WiFi does not have much range away from the lobby, unless you get a room close by. The hotel is basic and had free parking which was a requirement for Cinque Terra hiking tail via train. However there are closer towns such as Sestri Levante or possibly Lavanto if you don't mind driving further. If we had not booked so late these would have been better choices to avoid having to change trains and quicker access to the trails. However the hike more than made up for the effort and accommodations getting there.

Nice place close to sea

Posted 26 Jun 2015 on Hotels
We did not have a room with a garden view as stated on the booking, in fact we probably had one of their worst rooms available. Having said that it was clean and functional for one night. Breakfast was good, host was friendly, location was good 5 minutes walking to the sea. There are better rooms in the hotel and if you get one of them it is a nice place to stay. Would recommend it

The entry stairs were a little difficult to negotiate but the staff offered to help with our suitcases which was helpful.

We had a 2 night stay in this location. The facilities were adequate, breakfast was basic. The location was convenient for walking to the local harbour.

Great service

Posted 1 Jun 2013 on Hotels
The room was comfortable and the breakfast was simple, but considering the low rates, we felt we got value for money. The staff tried their best in providing good service, which was very helpful in this quiet, small town location. We had problem finding the place because GPS is just not reliable and we were lost for 2 hours. For future travellers, key in "Cavi train station". And only when you're at Cavi train station, do you key in the road name. If not, the GPS would bring you somewhere up a mountain when this hotel is close to the sea.

Nice stay

Posted 2 Apr 2013 on Hotels
Everything was excellent clean rooms, very close to Sestri Levante and 20 minutes away from Santa Margherita,. Breakfast was also very nice and the Cavi station is close by. The only issue was that internet was not working in the room and one had to come to the lobby for internet. Other than that this place is excellent, very quiet and nice.

Great hotel - warm atmosphere

Posted 11 Sep 2012
Pros: The staff absolutely made the stay, very welcoming and accommodating.
Cons: Depending on where your room is located, it can be quite noisy if you have heavy footed neighbours!
Location: Pretty and fairly quiet, quite close to the more tourist driven Sestri Levante
The staff were fantastic, made us very welcome and took the time to chat with us daily. The hotel is situated close to the beach and a small number of shops for your everyday needs. really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again
