My worst experience ever...upon my arrival I was welcome with complain from the owner, because did not declare children in the booking..I was in rush so I didnt do it purpose...my husband decided to cancel the booking but we were tired and we proceed with the stay...During my stay the owner enter our unit twice..without our concern...She turned off the AC...2nd day...She reminded me to turn off the AC before we left...I have paid the unit, So it is up to us to open the window or whatsoever...She cant treat us like a student staying in a hostel...We decided to check out early because we felt uncomfortable...we left the unit and said thank you to her...She dont even thank us...we were so frustrated... Not reccomended...Because you wont be able to get your privacy...feeling like being watching a warden 24hours...

Hi Sara, I'm sorry you did not enjoy your stay at tanabendang although I'm happy that your 2 sons enjoyed their time in the pool. I was only concerned about the comfort of your stay as you had booked as a couple but brought along your 2 sons to share the banglo. I had apologized about going into the banglo to switch off the a/c for which there is a reminder posted at the front door for occupants to switch off the water heater n a/c to conserve energy and preserve the environment. Besides, the architecture of the traditional banglos has many ventilation and the a/c is only to cool the banglo when occupied. I had shut the windows only for security reasons to protect your belongings. I'm sorry if by my doing so you feel I had intruded on your privacy although I had only entered the banglo to do so after you had been gone for quite sometime. I do thank you for your review and your stay and may god bless you.

Nice and Quiet :)
Posted 24 Feb 2019 on HotelsWe, me and my two boys age 7 and 10, had an excellent stay at Tanabendang Banglos. The Room/Cottage was nice and cosy. We were picked up in the airport by the owner. She was sweet and easy to talk to. Answered all our questions and kindly helped us buy food late at night. Our stay was quiet and mostly in the pool, which was nice. There is also a little kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. The Cottages are a little remote, so you need a car, and we rented that from Tanabendang Banglos. No Problems there. :) All in all a nice stay...

Rustic and quiet location. Good location.
~ 10 mins to Cenang beach and near to airport.
Beautiful sunrise view from veranda.
Helpful staff who try their best to serve eg arrrangement for scooter rental and petrol top-up.
Nice pool for relaxation after day in the sun.
Fairly well equipped common kitchen.

Our 2 night stay at Tanabendang was absolutely wonderful. Tanabendang is the most authentic kampung (malay-styled cottage) boutique villa we've tried so far. (We are city folks from Malaysia). The interior and exterior of the villas were carefully designed and recreated to keep the originality (sight, smell, sound and all). The modern facility like the AC, hot shower and common pool kept our stay warm at heart. Owner is very friendly and warm and definitely a 5 thumbs up host. When we come back to Langkawi, Tanabendang will be our top choice (price, location, design, overall comfort) in our opinion.

Peaceful Stay in Traditional Home
Posted 29 May 2018 on HotelsI stayed here for two weeks and loved it. It was away from the awful Cenang tackiness, run by a lovely woman and had a tranquil and peaceful energy. There is a great pool, a kitchen you can use and each bungalow has a terrace surrounded by pretty gardens. Conditions were basic and the rural location meant there were plenty of annimal noises and insect life.

Pros: We loved the relaxed vibe & the attention to making your stay comfortable
Cons: There is I big step down to get into the chalet & down into the bathroom. I you have mobility issues consider this...
Location: The chalets are a bit secluded, which we liked. You can get a Uber with little fuss & it is really cheap to get around.
The hotel and the owners are great.
The chalets are well equipped, comfy bed & good shower. Great places to hang out & read- Inside the chalet, on the front porch & by the pool.
The beautiful furniture is carefully collected by the owner from all over Asia, has a unique and cozy authentic design.
The pool was an excellent place to relax on a hot afternoon.
Aslina is welcoming, charming and helpful. She arranged for a scooter rental.
The scenery around the hotel is peaceful and beautiful - rice fields, with the occasional water buffalo.

A little piece of paradise
Posted 17 Mar 2018 on HotelsMost relaxing place! The pool is perfect! The little kitchen to prep food is the right size and the host is most welcoming and charming. Bungalows are gorgeous and authentic. I couldn’t have asked for more from this little gem.
