For the price it was just ok. Very sleepy, minimal vibe, ice cold pool that you really couldn’t enjoy. Room and bathroom were nice, but probably wouldn’t stay again for the price. Has a lot of potential but just kinda boring. Seems everyone bright their babies too lol
Definitely check out the rooftop gin bar next door and the incredible BbQ restaurant a couple blocks down.

Water sports paradise
Posted 10 Dec 2019 on HotelsThis was a wonderful hotel that suited our needs perfectly. It is situated in the road leading to the lagoon, so a quick walk gets you onto the water in no time. The hotel is geared for people doing water sports. There are private lockers on your patio to lock up gear in, hangers for wetsuits and large basins in the shower to wash your gear. The rooms are very comfortable with all you could want. Very comfortable bed. The food at the restaurant was delicious. There is also a water sports center at the hotel and another close by.he pool is beautifully organized.

Hi Alison,
Thank you so much for the great feedback! We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. We are quite in the center of Langebaan, close to the shops and beach. We do our best to accommodate our beach loving guests as well as our corporate and breakaway guests. We are so pleased that the room and bed was up to standard and comfortable. Our pool is also a little bit heated due to our new heat panels. We do hope to see you soon again and to keep up the good work.

windtown lagoon hotel - one to avoid
Posted 11 Nov 2019 on Hotels1. Very disappointing. Stayed four nights and it is not cheap when compared to the competition.
2. Breakfasts were poor. Lots of "self-help" even to the point of having to make one's own tea in a mug. No cups / saucers or teapots here. Breakfast was geared up to the continental European taste. They couldn't do an omelette, the 'fruit salad' was poxy, no cornflakes or Weetbix, no pork sausage or fish or potato ... definitely not what a South African would want.
3. Only two small plastic chairs provided outside each room. No armchair or sofa of any description in the room. This for a so called luxury room.
4. A concrete jungle. Only greenery was a few small busheds in pots. No trees, no grass, zilch. Horrible.
5. A slow leak from an overhead (sewage?) pipe in the car parking basement.
JUST NOT A NICE PLACE

Hi Dennis,
We do apologize for your disappointing stay and that you felt your stay was not value for money. We do try and keep our prices in good comparison with the rest of our competition and we also try to make our guests feel as welcome and at home as possible. Our breakfast has a self help option as well as a plated breakfast. There is the buffet with coffee, teas and juice and on the other side we have our breads, cheeses, hams as well as a hot option. We also have the fruit salads with plain yogurt which you can add some seeds of muesli. There is also Kellogg in the glass jar where these options are. As for the plated hot breakfast that you can order quite a few things like bacon, eggs, Boerewors, eggs Benedict. You are more than welcome to ask for an extra option and we will do our best to accommodate you. Our deluxe rooms has either a cushion chair or a snoozer and then the 2 plastic chairs outside for some tanning. We do apologize if these were not in your room. We are mostly concrete due to us catering for all our weather circumstances as well as being close to the beach. Our pool area has fake grass a round and we have some plants every here and there. The reason for fake grass is due to the water shortage, that is also the reason for the buckets in the bathrooms as we try our best to safe and be green were we can. There is also a tree by the pool are and braai and our small little tree that is slowly but surely blooming as you go down to the underground parking. We do apologize about the leaking pipe and we are busy with some maintenance and we will do our best to fix this. We do hope to see you again and to change you view of us.
