We stopped for one night on our way back to the UK. Langeais is a very pretty small town on the Loire with a beautiful Chateau in the centre. La Fleur de Lys is a small hotel right in the centre. Our room was good sized, well equipped and very clean. It also had the facility to make hot drinks in the room - which is not always the case in France. The hosts were welcoming and the continental breakfast was very good. The only disappointment was the garden, where we had anticipated enjoying an evening glass of wine. It is much less attractive than it appears in the picture. However, that wouldn't stop us from recommending what is otherwise a very nice place to stay.

My 5th stay at this property...always clean & comfortable with a hot shower. Great walking location and good WiFi service.

Our stay was nothing short of magical--the warm hospitality, the location, and the room were absolutely perfect. Breakfast was incredible, and included fresh-made crepes AND American-style pancakes along with organic yogurts, local cheeses, pastries and breads, and plenty of excellent coffee (or tea). Every detail of our stay was first-rate, and Langeais itself was like a movie set at dusk. La Fleur de Lys was one of our favorite stops during our time in France. Highly recommended!

Nice chambers d’hote but not a hotel
Posted 9 Sep 2018 on HotelsNice place very near Chateia, good storage for bikes, breakfast good. Big problem for us was nowhere to eat in Langeais on Monday evenings.

Posted 23 Jun 2017 on HotelsWe booked this hotel "on the run" and were very pleased with both the B'n'B and it's location. The accommodation was lovely, fresh and well done. Room was a good size, although the lack of air-con would be a problem once the weather heats up!
Hostess was very friendly and the breakfast she served in the morning was delightful and plentiful, although only a "continental" .
Local area was a beautiful village with a magnificent Chateau just around the corner.
