The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and beds were comfortable. The location was great, a short walk from the train station and close to the Castle. The restaurant and bar downstairs were great!

Nice stay with good dining. Lift would have made it easier, on site parking would make it a 5*.!.

It is quiet and well-maintained, right near the train station, the Lancaster Castle, and lots of downtown shops and restaurants. The food is tasty. There are a lot of steps into and out of the hotel spaces (and no lift). If you're up for that exercise, it is a charming place to stay.

Absolutely loved the Sun Hotel & Bar. Room was beautiful, clean, comfortable and quiet. Perfect location, wonderful pub and beer garden. Would highly recommend.
