I was very unimpressed. The room was old and outdated with a feel of a 50 year old motel with just a new coat of paint. Mattress and pillows were terrible, wall heater only turned on to 85’ or it didn’t work at all. Bathroom just looked dirty and whenever it was remodeled years ago just looked crusty. All this is based purely off the room itself which is where I had to sleep. Yes the lobby is “cute” and oh yes there is a beer garden with a taproom which is cool. I just wish they updated the rooms to how they keep the outside of the property up to date.

Walls are paper thin we could hear every person in every room around ours. There basically was no privacy. Mattress needs to be replaced as well. Staff was good but property needs to be fixed up properly.

If you are looking for a relaxing place this is it. Easy access to the Casino's, Heavenly Ski Resort, Shopping and dinning. The beds were extremely comfortable.

Base Camp is a really fun place to stay in South Lake Tahoe. Not only affordable rates, but quite unique with its outdoor courtyard (two fire pits, and large hot tub) a cozy lobby (with rooftop hot tub) and Base Camp Beer Garden! Shopping, restaurants and bars all within walking distance.
