Generic resort. Good if you don’t have options but if there are better options do those. Many units have upstairs villas that house family units and can get very loud.

Booked a double room, couldnt swing a cat ,dark and a bit shabby, friendly staff walkable to everything.

Property was close to major road. Lake view was obstructed due to plants and road. Bed was very comfortable and contained both a shower and very deep bathtub. Unit had refrigerator, but no microwave or dishes/utensils like all the other rooms we stayed in for our 3 weeks in NZ. Coffee provided in the unit was instant.

Pros: the property is very close to the lake and within walking distance of the main Lake Tekapo area.
Cons: check-in took a lot longer than it should have, and staff seemed rather blasé. Was expecting better customer service from its other reviews. Also worth noting - they have 2 washers and 2 dryers. Don’t do your laundry here though- they’re not maintained well. The dryer took over 2 hours to get anything dry.

Rooms are very small! Was really hard to walk around the room and have suitcases to get into!

Enormously good value and a very good property in general. It's not five stars on condition and the place is showing a bit of age, but it's got it where it matters
