"Very nice appointed motel opposite Lake Tekapo. Spotlessly clean, helpful staff, Very small town so easy to walk. Opposite beautiful lake. Nice photo opportunities. Comp parking. Ideal spot to break journey between Queenstown and Christchurch. 1 hour drive to Mt. Cook"

"The room was beautiful and spacious! My favorite features were the huge window with a view of Lake Tekapo and the snow-capped mountains, and the skylight for the dark sky views. The bathroom had both a shower and a bathtub, and the towels were spa quality. The room included a prepared breakfast along with continental options. The only downside was that it was about a 15 minute walk along a fairly busy highway to any restaurants or shopping, which were sparse. But all in all, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Galaxy Boutique Hotel. "

"The motel was a bit old, but the location is fantastic at the center of town and walkable to many eateries and shop. There is construction works going on at the plot of land beside the motel, and might be noisy at times"
