"Staff was great, Samuel and Joao were very welcoming and informative, handling all questions professionally. The kitchen hours and communication regarding hours and meal options lacked, leaving issues for dining options. Would recommend for a quieter stay during high-season. Would have opted for something closer to town, as it was quiet in December. The walk to town took about 35 minutes. There is a beach a steep 6 minute walk away which was convenient. "

"For the most pet the property was great. The only issue we had was that the faucets for all of the sinks were so strong that we consistently got water everywhere even when we tried not to. The first time we took a shower we ended up with a puddle in the room"

"Great hotel. Breakfast and waiter, Francis/Francesco, made it a pleasant experience every morning. All staff were welcoming and friendly, except for one cold as ice receptionist. I still highly recommend hotel in spite of her. "

"Location was good. Quality of food (breakfast & dinner) very good. Service from most, but not all of the staff. Carpet in hallways definitely needs replacing. For the price should not be charged $1.50 for each extra coffee pods. Would be nice if they had a shuttle to transport guests to town, as it was about 30 minute to walk there on the boardwalk. "

"We LOVED this hotel. It was our favorite hotel of our entire 15 day trip! If I could give it an 11 on a 10 point scale - I would. It was true to its name and felt like a private village in Portugal.
