Didn’t realize the amount of train traffic that would be going right by the hotel throughout the night. Charming hotel with great train decor but we were told by a train company employee we shared breakfast with that there are about 60 trains a day that go through LaPlata. My bad for not doing my research. Next time I would bring earplugs.

Way nicer than your average motel room and lobby. Everything about this experience was top-notch. The railroad memorabilia is a fantastic collection and was an added bonus to this rail fan.

The Depot inn was by far one of the most clean and thoughtful hotels I have ever had the privilege of staying in! I rented the room in advance because of your recliners in the rooms ! My travel partner needs to sleep in a sitting position due to health issues and it was so nice after a long day of travel to have such comfort’s and cleanliness! Top of the line I would recommend it to everyone traveling in Northern Missouri 👍🙋‍♀️

Fun train themed hotel great for families.
Amazing experience! Fun train themed hotel! Very clean and maintained building. Comfortable bed. Quick simple breakfast provided. My only complaint is there were no blackout curtains and bright lights were on all night outside.
