The rooms are very small. We had a four person room and there was no space for our luggage. The photos are deceiving. The staff is rude and not interested in helping their guests. There are far too many hotels in Kyoto to settle for this one. We won’t be staying here again.

Room is big for 4 people. Comes with 5 beds. Short walk to shopping centre and food locations.

The location of this hotel was amazing, but the hotel itself was somewhat lacking. There seems to be very limited soundproofing between rooms, so you have hear others’ conversations/loud footsteps above you. The tatami beds were also quite uncomfortable.

Great place to stay with public transit (bus stop) right in front of the building. Convenience stores within a five mins walk and main attractions within 15-20 mins walk. Rooms are clean and comfortable and comes with fridge and kettle. Private shower/tub combo with bidet. Room also had a balcony, which was a nice bonus feature. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

It was an oasis in the desert for us after traveling for 22 hours, arriving at 8 pm, to find that the woman at the front desk was not only extremely kind and friendly, but also spoke English. I’m also extra grateful, because due to my own mistake, I had to make two separate bookings. I wasn’t looking forward to attempting to explain the situation after traveling for so long, so I was deeply grateful when I got there and they had not only noticed the problem ahead of time, but had also resolved it for me before I ever arrived.
It was an excellent place to stay on top of that. The room was a lovely mix of traditional and modern, and it was in convenient walking distance of many food options, Kyoto Station, and the Kyoto Pokémon Center.
If I ever come back to Kyoto, this is absolutely where I’ll stay again.

The Wayfarer was the perfect base to travel from and very clean and spacious. I could have spent my whole trip just relaxing in the space! The staff were also foreigner friendly and very knowledgeable and kind. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Only issue we had on our stay was that there were doing construction work near by. We could hear the jackhammer that was incredibly loud and shock the apartment from 8am to 5pm. Everything else was great.
