The staff was very friendly and helpful. The property was hard to find if one is not familiar with the area.

We offer new kind of style of hotel with an elegance that evokes the image of a traditional "Machiya" townhouse surrounding historical houses. It may make our building difficult to be found by our guests. But the location of our hotel is backside of big streets so that we can provide our guests peaceful and calm stay. Clean property with great amenities. Walkable to the Nishiki market and shopping stores!

Our hotel is located on a small historical street called Shinmachi, and that makes our guests feel a special atmosphere that you can only feel in certain area in Kyoto. We are also in walking distance to famous Nishiki Food Market where you can enjoy some local foods.When you come to Kyoto again, we will aim to further improve our service so that you will be satisfied.

Staff was excellent . Rooms were small but that was t be expected but they were designed well for two people to function well. Had a little vanity which was nice. Had a small sofa for two people to sit on and a foot stool. We loved their public baths so great. Food at the restaurant was good. Breakfast was great.

Staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was an unforgettable experience. They shipped our luggage’s for us to the next hotel with ease and held our other bags till we were ready to leave. I will be staying here again.

All the staff go the extra mile to provide excellent services with a smile. Staff were attentive to customers’ needs.
Convenient location, easy walking access to places of interest eg Gion, Nishiki market, shrines, etc.

This hotel is in a great location. The area around the hotel is quiet but you can get to restaurants and shops within a couple of blocks from the location. Staff is attentive, friendly and professional. We were very satisfied with our choice.
