Our group of 5 adults stayed in 2 small rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was my family’s favorite of all the places we stayed due to the mix of Japanese and Western food available. It’s less than a block from a subway station and we frequently walked to downtown for shopping and meals. The hotel has hourly shuttles to Kinkakuji and the bamboo forest. Oh, we also really loved the brewery that was on the same block - just a few doors north.

Best location. Right next to the subway station and walking distance to Shinjuku station and center I’d Shinjuku. The only complaint is the room size, which is kind of small, but this is probably common for Japanese hotels. Overall a great stay.

It was our 2nd time stay at Hotel Monday when visiting Kyoto. We had such a good expierence the first time we stayed again for 4 days on this previous trip as well! Staff and room were absolutly amazing.

Hotel Monday Kyoto Kasamura is walking distance to train station, and family mart is few steps away, we reserved a 3 twin beds room, this room is quiet small, there was no space to walk if the 26” luggage is left spread open. We were able to leave our luggage after check out before our departure time in the late afternoon.

My hotel room was dirty! The carpet had not been hoovered and was covered in long black hairs. My nightstand too was covered in dust and dirt where it had not been cleaned. Worst of all was the bed!! It was harder than concrete! Do not stay here if you suffer with back problems. Everyday I woke up with terrible back & leg ache.

Small Hotel. Great customer service. Really small rooms. No space for medium luggage. Location was great with coffee shops, restaurants, Family mart, Pharmacy, etc. The only downside is the little rooms. It felt extremely tight for 3 people with a sink outside the bathroom in the bedroom.

Location is good. We took a taxi every time and it was 10 to 15 minutes ride to the places we wanted to see. Hotel is small, rooms are tiny. Clean rooms and bathrooms. We were upgraded to a larger room(at no extra cost) and our 26 year old finally got to sleep in a real bed. Staff were lovely and helped us forward our luggage to Tokyo. Very clean and quiet. Our only disappointment was that we could not book a second night.
