That was great to stay at Karan hotel. We’v got there little early and I didn’t expect that we can check in! We loved welcome drink and wet towels when we checked in. Also we loved rental bicycles. We could move around in Kyoto so smooth. And we loved the bathroom so nice.

Wonderful hotel! It’s quiet and unassuming, with a real Japanese aesthetic. It’s very well managed and clean. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The rooms are small but the bed is very comfortable and the shower is outstanding. The breakfast buffet is very good with a wide range of cuisines. The only downside is that there is not much around the hotel. It’s a quick 10 min walk to the train station, 5 min to the subway, and there’s a 7-11 two doors away with an ATM. I’m sure the room rate would be higher if the hotel were nearer to major tourist sites, but the sights in Kyoto are very spread out anyway, and we were happy to get around by subway, foot and taxi through the many traditional neighborhoods of the city.

Fantastic hotel, centrally located for visiting many different parts of the city. Great breakfast buffet and wonderful service from the staff.

Loved this hotel, great location. The hotel, staff and food were all amazing. Room really nice, clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
