"The Grant Estate (Eighteenth) is set in a beautiful setting close to the long beach. It has a lot of facilities on site ie: pool, tennis courts, club house with bar and restaurant. The golf greens are superb and are a pleasure to be around they are perfectly groomed. The apartments are very contempary and are beautifully kept. It was a pleasure to stay we only wish it were longer."

"I needed a place near King Shaka Airport to spend a night after a long flight from Dubai and Umdloti is about the easiest and closest, so I booked online through Expedia and got a good price too. The waves that morning of the Thursday 4 June were the highest they'd been for years and the early morning view was wonderful. I arrived very late and the watchman had all my details and let me in. My only regret was not being able to stay longer, as I had to drive to my destination the next morning....

"We were not aware that the booking made was not through The Capital Zimbali itself, and that the unit was privately owned. We had to wait 2 hours to gain entry to Zimbali due to the entry code that was not sent to us. We coukd not make use of Zimbali amneties, or order room service. The room had no cleaning service over the time we stayed there. The bath could not be used due to the plug that was leaking. The bathroom light turned off by itself. "What i loved the most is the beautiful aroma as you enter the suites, that invites you into what felt like a spa retreat! The cleanliness and softness of the bedding and fresh towels added to thr luxury experience. Entry and exit into the estate seems to be an inconvenience at first but definitely welcomed level of security. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality, we felt safe at all times."

"This is an older hotel, with Akzo large suites Werth balconies / or Sea views. Just a short drive from beaches and popular Ballito activities. The staff were welcoming and very friendly, while ensuring all my requests were taken care of . The indian cuisine served at the "Dine inn" restaurant is authentic and very delicious! Expect issues With water & electricity- these are issues common for the area and not caused by the hotel or the staff. "
