The only thing I didn't like, which movenpick has zero control over is how many rocks are in the water. It was very difficult to walk through the water without getting injured. But again, the hotel has nothing to do with this.

Posted 10 Feb 2024 on HotelsThis is great beachfront hotel in Salmiya, with two restaurants. Rooms aren’t too spacious, but bed was great and comfortable. Several swimming pools including with heated waters are available and gym consisted of numerous cardio work out engines.

Excellent except the Launch buffet it is so expensive and not worth 19 KD specially for the guests

As always, it is very pleasant to stay at the Movenpick Hotel (Al-Bida'a). We originally booked a two-bedroom apartment with pool access. Upon arrival and due to the unavailability of the booked apartment, we were immediately upgraded to the Villa (with pool access). Pool area is well-maintained. The breakfast buffet is delicious (but could use a little more variety). Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, and I will definitely go there again.

It took 15 minutes to check me in after the staff was discussing with the manager on whether a single person can be checked in and they were lecturing me about people visits and policies for any visitors. Beside that some staff annoyed me daily at the beach where I was laying down asking me whether I stay in the hotel and what’s my room number and my name and this was daily. And when the weather got hot the A/C in the room was bad.
