Love love this property. I could easily walk around and grab everywhere. Everything is nearby.

We had three nights at Ruma and we couldn’t have been better looked after. Staff in reception diligently corrected an error in the Expedia booking, restaurant staff remembered our preferences and kept us replenished with drinks at breakfast and dinner. Our room was serviced in the morning with the option of more refreshes in the afternoon. Most memorable was the amazing curation of the interior with the display of old artefacts from batik printing, weathered wood, bowls- all displayed with an impeccable aesthetic. The quality of this hotel shone, and the staff- all highly professional are a credit to this beautiful venue.

The whole experience was alright. It can be better, definitely. The hotel itself was superb and peaceful. I love the walk from the entrance to the lobby. It was a great sensorial experience. The view at night was beautiful at the Pool bar. Walkable distance from hotel to Pavilion. I love that we were out of the crazy jam zone. The staff who cleaned the room was considerate. She placed one of the bottled water at the bed side-table. I find this gesture very thoughtful.
The rooms were a bit dusty, even the hangers for clothes were dusty when we checked-in.
The staffs unfortunately were mediocre, except for three - A smiley lady who handled our payment during Check-In, the lady who cleaned our rooms and the man who assisted our inquiry at the Library.
Safety of our passports were compromised at the reception. I had to walk up to him (because he asked us to take a seat first) to remind him to not leave the passports at the side edge of the table and walked off. He was nonchalant about it.
