"This property was lovely. We booked it as a last minute ‘we need a room tonight’, and it accommodated us well. "This used to be my goto place in Aalen, but in the last year or so, its gone way downhill. The people have become much less friendly, and are actually rude; and the place is getting run down - you can see it in the paint on the walls, stains on the carpet, etc. Breakfast is nothing special at all. Really disappointing. "

"Only used it as a base for a very short football trip but it was spot on. Near the station, good price, comfortable bed, decent breakfast. best of all when we got back after the decent nearby restaurants were closed reception was able to sell us a bottle of wine and big bag of chili crisps!"

"We were so disappointed with this hotel. It is NOT near Aalen. It needs so much work. It looks like it might have been busy at some point but it feels like a ghost hotel. Our room had one small comforter. No towels. No glasses. 2 pillows. A refrigerator that did not work. The washer dryer area for the hotel is dirty and pathetic. The reception area had trash that was not picked up for two days and no Receptionist. There was quite a bit of deferred maintenance on the property. It...

"We had room number 5, which was a 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen and balcony. It had a separate dining area and 2 couches. The bathroom was large and each room offered a nice view. Our hostess was very friendly and welcoming. The only downside was that at 6 am the nearby church bells went off for what seemed like a few minutes without letup and that woke us all up. "

"Das Hotel ist sehr komfortabel, die Einrichtung auf dem neuesten Stand und sehr elegant, so dass wir uns sehr wohl fühlten. Auch das angeschlossene italienische Restaurant fanden wir sehr gut. Nicht so gut gefiel uns das Frühstücken außer Haus in einer nahe gelegenen Bäckerei mit Café. Inhaltlich ohne jeden Mangel, aber in einer für uns zu lauten Umgebung. "This hotel is in a small, quiet village well off the beaten path, which is just what we wanted. But we arrived after dark and there was nobody at the reception desk. We tried to call the number, but our cell phones did not work properly. Outside the door, some people were smoking and somehow understood we could not check in. They were so friendly and helpful! They explained that there is a restaurant behind the hotel, and they would go find somebody. A young lady came and checked us in....

"The manager Filip was very kind and knowledgeable! The dining experience was absolutely superb. If I could give more stars, I would. He had very excellent wine pairings and was very helpful when we had questions. Helped us with our bags up and down the stairs. He even valeted the German super car we rented! Michael also made our breakfast experience smooth and easy. The staff is so friendly and attentive to their guests. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!"

Villa Mittermeier Hotellerie & Restaurant

"We were greeted by the staff member who was very sweet and walked us through the lobby and restaurant, as well as the after hours entry just so we could find our way. In addition, it’s a very easy walk to the town center and very convenient. They also provided a treat for my dog which she loved. I would recommend this hotel and hope to return."

"Situated just outside the entrance to the old town, the hotel is very conveniently located. The rooms are clean, and overall the location is very quiet. The breakfast buffet was yruly astounding and filled with many delicious options from cold cuts, cheeses, eggs, bacon, etc. I would definitely stay at this hotel again."

"Fantastic old properly but with modern features. Some old hotels show signs of age but the owners of the Eisenhut have made sure that things are clean and new without spoiling the charm of a century’s old building . Brilliant location , very attentive staff. No cons at all with the hotel, but for info don’t follow set nav when Christmas markets are on , all surrounding roads around the hotel are blocked off . So it may be better asking for the car park location and parking first as this is outside of the no car zone and easily accessible. "
