We at such a great welcome from the staff at Hula Hula Resort and especially from Toon the person who did such a wonderful job to check us in and make us welcome on our first visit to Krabi. Nothing is to much trouble for any of the staff. Beautiful pool area, great gym available, breakfast is good and plenty available, any tour is available to purchase at the hotel and only a 15 minute walk from the beach. This is our 7th hotel stay in Thailand and the Hula Hula Resort is far th best we've stayed in. We will return.

Serene property with abundance of nature.

Bit run down, but fine
Posted 29 Jul 2024 on HotelsStaff were helpful and respectful, if a bit impersonal (and probably overworked). The pool area was nice, clean, and well maintained. The hotel itself felt very conservative and traditional, as well as dated. The room was run down - think scuff marks on the walls, paint chipping, smelled a bit musty when we came in. It had obviously been cleaned, which was a plus, but it was nowhere near spotless. The A/C had one setting - very cold - which we struggled with. I don't think any of the rooms have actual ocean view so don't bother with that. The breakfast was basic, not tasty but not horrible, and didn't have many provisions for vegetarian or gluten-free diets. The location was decent, about a ten minute downhill walk to the "main strip" and quiet, which we enjoyed. Basically, don't expect anything fancy - but for the price it's ok.

Great hotel, rooms are a little outdated but we enjoyed the swim up bar, swim up pool & it’s convenient shuttle to and from the landmark area

Pool area was incredible. Really set the property above others. A bit of a walk to beach and busy area. If you didn’t want to walk cabs are available. Breakfast buffet was great. Staff very helpful. Room air conditioner was not working well. Overall a good stay.

DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! I REPEAT: SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK ANYWHERE ELSE BUT THIS HORRIBLE HOTEL.
This is NOT a 4 star hotel, it’s barely a 3 star!
I booked a 5 day stay here based on reviews on google and Expedia and the 4 star rating.
STAFF:
Not helpful. I was 3 hours early for check in (due to my flight arrival time) and the check in process was disorganized and slow. My room wasn’t ready for an hour past start time.
ROOMS: DIRTY! EXTREMELY UNHYGIENIC.
I was immediately disgusted by the state of the room as I walked in. Staff does NOT clean the rooms or change the sheets. The first room I was put in (“Premium Swim Out”) still had HAIR IN THE BATHTUB & SHOWER. Rooms are unpainted. Writing on furniture and walls. Cracks on walls. Bathroom fixtures rusted and dirty. I immediately called Expedia and went to the front desk and the staff was unwilling to help!
The staff moved me to a “newer room” with dirty bedsheets and a dirty shower. Again, old rooms, old fixtures, nothing like the photos posted online.
3 days and the staff never changed the sheets or cleaned the bathroom.
They put water and “new towels”
(Some of which had stains; the towels shed) and say that they’ve cleaned your room.
FOOD: not good. Considering a great meal directly outside the resort will cost you about $5 CAD the included breakfast here is horrible. I bought breakfast every morning.
The outside aesthetic of the hotel is the only nice thing about this place- it’s extremely deceiving.

Beware!! Alert!!!
We booked the Hula Hula resort from expedia and we got the room as per choice and confirmation mail and everything but when we reached they said they are overbooked and now they can give some other hotel option which was not that good also cost wise lower then what we paid. So we asked for refund and they said they will return only partial amount and deduct service tax and other charges that too without using a single service they didn’t even offered water. We contacted expedia as well but nothing happened and while transferring refund they again deducted some heavy charges bcoz we didn’t had account in the bank which they asked for. So without using any facility or services or room we almost paid 150 SGD to them as we booked 2 rooms for 3 days. Like this they might cheat u as well so please beware before booking.
