Great location, friendly staff, fantastic Italian restaurant on the ground floor (which I assumed was part of the hotel, but apparently it isn't). Frustratingly, they ask for a deposit in cash when you check in - even though you've paid for the room in full in advance! I didn't have enough cash on me and refused to go to an ATM to get out only the cash needed for the deposit to stay here for 1 night, as I was leaving Malaysia the next morning and wouldn't need that cash so it would be a waste. After a while, the lady on reception agreed to take the only cash I had left - which wasn't the full deposit amount, but I appreciated her being accommodating and realistic.

Staff here was excellent. Went out of their way to make sure the stay went well. Great location. Across from mall and next door to Italian restaurant. Many shops on the block.

Have stayed in capital hotel so many times and it was a pretty good hotel overall. But this visit makes me so upset. The stay was fine. When we were checking out, the housekeeper says there were a couple of make up stains on one of the towels. She tried to wash it with the shower gel that was left over and said it could not be washed off. We were told to pay 50 ringgit for the damage!! Or we can go to the laundromat nearby to have the towel cleaned at our own expense. When has it been the guest’s responsibility to wash the linen of the room?! Nevertheless I went to the supermarket, bought a bottle of normal laundry detergent and went up to the room to wash the towel. The so called unwashable make up stains were totally cleaned within 3 minutes of hand washing with a normal detergent. Hotel management, please look into this practice of asking your guests to wash the linen of the room. That’s YOUR responsibility!!!
