Spent two nights here while attending the passchendaele 100 memorial events and I was pleasantly surprised how large and comfortable the room was, especially the bathroom which was huge. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of good quality coffee hot croissant's and fruit bread. We booked an evening meal on the second night and it really was fantastic, the locally produced steak was cooked to perfection and cray fish starters were delicious. This is a family run hotel and it's abundantly clear that they take great pride in giving guests the very best experience they possibly can. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to re book if I were to visit the area again. You will not be disappointed.!!

Pros: The room was large with interesting homely decorations and a separate eating area and large bathroom that made it a joy to spend time in.
Cons: The free wifi was a bit variable but nothing that caused a significant problem
Location: Kortrijk is a beautiful city with excellent shops and is a short drive from Lille, Ghent, Bruges and other areas - only 90 minutes from Calais.
At first glance it looks like a bar in a suburban street, but inside we found a large comfortable room that was like a home from home. The owners were incredibly welcoming and the food was some of the best we have had - equal to an expensive restaurant. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Pros: Good meals, Dog friendly, Lovely family run business.
Cons: Nothing, keep it as it is
Location: Travelled en route so did not have time to explore the area in detail.
Stayed 1 night en route along with our pet dog. The evening meal and breakfast were traditional and very good. The owners are hospitable and helpful. Would certainly visit en route again.

Two Star rating, 5 Star service
Posted 20 Apr 2014 on HotelsA superb find!
On a 14 night work trip to Flanders, originally booked for 5 nights, but no hesitation in changing the booking to stay for the full trip.
The owner & family ensured it was an excellent stay, providing advice on the local area & assistance with any request. No request was ever too much for Guido, the owner or his staff.
He has excellent multiple language skills, so everyone felt welcome.
The accommodation is clean & spacious.
The wi-fi speed is impressive.
The range & quality of traditional cuisine in the attached restaurant is impeccable with fresh, local ingredients. A must if you stay, or are even in the area.
No hesitation in returning or recommending to family & friends.

A cyclists retreat
Posted 9 Apr 2014 on HotelsAttentive service, clean, great food, large rooms, good bike storage, friendly, minibar (to raid after a 100mile ride). A perfect base for viewing the spring classics. Patron even rang on our second night to check we were OK (we were out late on the Belgian beers in Oudenaarde before cycling home - only passed 2 cars in 30km!)

Quiet country inn with lots of character
Posted 2 Oct 2013 on HotelsThis inn was very comfortable with a quaint dining room and bar attached. Very quiet location in the country about halfway in between the large towns of Lille and Kortrij (about 25 min each). The Inn is actually in Rollengen 9 km south of Kortrij, I made the mistake of entering Kortrij to find it. A GPS would be helpful, but Rollengen is tiny and once there the place is easy to find. The owner is an excellent chef who cooks with his own home grown herbs. Bkfst is included and quite ample, with eggs, cold cuts, etc. Be prepared to be greeted by cows and roosters in the morning as you leave your room.
