Impossible to sleep
Posted 20 Aug 2024 on HotelsThe hotel is very dated. However the main issue was lack of sleep, the room was swelteringly hot - no A/C and told not to open windows due to insects. The was no view apart from a large kitchen chimney - creating dreadful food smells. Staff didn’t care. This was room 117 - avoid in all circumstances.

Our standard rooms are currently not equipped with air conditioning. Our Standard Plus and Superior rooms already have air conditioning. You are welcome to open the window in the rooms. Perfect hotel for my touring holiday.
Staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Good range of food for breakfast served in the beautiful Le Marrakech restaurant salon.
Sites in the historic Altstadt a short walk away. Even better for me the hotel was directly opposite the train station (routes to Switzerland and Germany),the bus station and a short walk to the harbour (for ships to Mainau Island and Bodensee towns).
The room i chose was comfortable but quite basic. A kettle or coffee maker and supplies would have been a welcome addition.
Nevertheless, I would highly recommend Hotel Malm.
