SpringRiver Resort, it is worth the trip
Posted 3 Jan 2020 on HotelsSpringriver Resort is a very nice and beautiful place to stay. The staff is very friendly and wants always to help you. The bungalows and surroundings are very clean. The GardenView bungalows have a shared toilet en douche, but very clean.
The restaurant has delicious food for breakfast ans dinner.
The staff can arranges some trips for you on a good way. The trip to the Konglow cave is not to bee missed. The trip and the cave are beautiful. The only point less is the trip to it, is a bit out of route and takes a bit of time, bot worth the trouble.

Spring River is not to be missed. The location, facilities, food and most of all the staff were amazing. We stayed for 3 nights and 2 full days. Could have stayed at least one more day. It is worth the splurge for the riverside bungalow and longtail boat ride to Kong Lor caves. The resort also arranged a private van transfer from Vientiane and onward to Savannakhet. The van and driver were excellent. Our time here felt very special and unique.

Quiet relaxing getaway
Posted 17 Oct 2018 on HotelsRustic place with a great location on the river, far from any of the other guest houses in the area. Private bungalow with a fan and mosquito net over the bed. It’s worth roughing it a bit to just relax in a quiet place for a day or two during travels. A taxi boat will pick you up in front of the resort and take you to Kong Lor cave. The taxi boat is a bit expensive comparatively, but worth it for the scenery along the way and not having to travel the dusty road to the cave entrance. The hospitality of the staff is above and beyond.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay. We really didn't know much about the area or even the cave but were looking for a getaway that was not too far from Vientiane. The Spring River Resort popped up on a google search and because it was the right distance we decided to give it a chance. Our expectations far exceed our hopes. We chose a room with a private bathroom which overlooked the river. It was very clean and comfortable. With the resort being close to villages it was a delight to watch and hear the local children playing in the water. The first full day we took a long boat to the cave entrance where we took another longboat into the cave. The 45 minutes to the cave entrance was so idyllic. We passed families bathing, water buffalo grazing and loads of ducks. This trip alone would have been worth it but the cave was amazing just adding to the layers of our adventure. The meals were tasty and reasonably priced set in a very pleasant setting. The river was clean and great to cool off in. We rented one of their longboats and paddled to the nearby lagoon and walked a loop weaving through a village giving high 5 to the kids. We so enjoyed meeting Vicky the owner and her staff who were very thoughtful and kind always making sure we were happy and we were...very!! We would love to go back!

3 nights
Posted 7 Mar 2018I stayed 3 nights at this place and had a great time. The views are spectacular. I took their boat up to the caves and it was a great experience.
The cheaper rooms do not have an attached bathroom but I didn't mind this at all because a walk through the garden is beautiful.
