"It was a very short visit, for work reasons. After an unexpected cancellation of a hotel reservation in Martin, I chose Pension Rosnicka instead. I don't regret it at all. Pension Rosnicka gives you the feeling of being in Switzerland, surrounded by mountains, with a sufficiently large pool cleaned with organic algae which really fulfills its function perfectly. I work in film production, so I visit dozens of hotels every year, but this pension has a family atmosphere. We felt really good there."

"Service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was spot on. The lady spoke a little English and us even less Slovak but we smiled and laughed our way through the check in process. "The heating was not working and it was uncomfortably cold, reported the issue and it was still not fixed the following day. The bed was also very uncomfortable and they struggled to speak English so it was quite difficult to communicate even during simple check in. "

"The check in and out very fast, reception staff very friendly and helpful, gave us a few tips about the village and activities around, made an appointment on our behalf with the head of village culture committee to give us a presentation about fujaras and playing on these instruments (free of charge). "The Hotel Bystricka is a bit out of the way, but it is a terrific hotel, so if you are in the area, choose this one. You need a car. Staff is super friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and quiet, and the restaurant is good. This last bit is important, because there are few nearby dining options, grocery stores, or cafes. At the end of a tiring day, sitting down to a decent meal really matters. I hope to stay here again if I get the chance."
