The room I was in had a cockroach and some moths flying around. I did not expect this at an Oberoi property. Service levels have fallen since the last time I stayed in 2022.

It pains me greatly to know that you left extremely disappointed with the overall stay and experience – in particular on the hygiene standards in the room and inconsistent service. I am truly sorry for a less than perfect stay on this occasion. I completely understand your displeasure and I have taken this up very strongly with the executive housekeeper and his team. As the General Manager of the hotel, I admit this is not what we strive to live up to and you have my assurance that we will retrain the team on getting the basics right the first time. The team promises to work with greater caution and care to ensure we deliver the level of service our guests have come to expect in terms of product and standards. The Grand Old Dame lived up to it's name - cared for unflinchingly. In these days of electronic gadgets, a few more charging points in the rooms would be helpful.

The staff was very courteous respectful and very helpful. I forgot my phone in a yellow taxi and the hotel chief security officer went out of his way to recover the phone. Kudos to him. Highly recommend this hotel.
