The staff at check in were not very friendly, nor helpful. The building is under construction and it would have been very helpful for me to know that. I would have booked a different property. We've stayed at other Toyoko Inns and the room is pretty standard.

Good stay
Posted 15 Sep 2023 on HotelsIt was nice stay. Room is clean. Front is polite. Breakfast was good, but they finished food supply before 9 o'clock so that you cannot eat fully when you go there 08:50.

Not so good..
Posted 21 Feb 2021 on Hotelsunlike other cities in Japan, The city Gokura is dirty. The hotel is also very old, and the smell is quite bad. Maybe because of the smoking rooms,floors near. Lobby is at 2nd fl, which is also a odd structure. I would say this is a 3500yen hotel.

Great place to stay! Clean and comfortable. Great location. Kokura is small town, walkable everywhere.

Good breakfast, liked pillow selection, big bathroom, very comfortable stay. Guest chairs were a nice touch, too. Good for families. Convenient to public transport - monorail stop to Kokura station right outside front door.
