Beautiful resort, extremely friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Rapopo for 3 nights and it was probably the best time my partner and I have had staying in a any resort. The staff always went above and beyond to cater to our requests and the lobster, caught fresh daily, was so delicious! In my opinion Rapopo would be THE place to stay if visiting that part of PNG.

Pros: Beach; free airport pick-up/dropoff; the local staff. The welcoming ukulele band/singers is well intended though worry that it may demean the staff.
Cons: Complimentary bottles of water and a simple guide to facilities. Was surprised that smoking allowed in the restaurant (or at least in the bar pa
Location: Visit Rabaul and it's volcano.
A very nice place to stay and am happy to have chosen it.

Pros: Location, staff, facilities.
Cons: Not much.
Location: On the shores of Simpson's Harbour, looking towards the volcanoes of Rabaul.
Needing to be in Kokopo for a workshop, we stayed 2 nights at Rapopo Resort. What a wonderful surprise! Friendly staff and guests, and such a wonderful location.

Best spot in Rabaul/Kokopo area

Pros: location, location, location
Cons: The food in the restaurant is great, but some lower priced items would be a valuable addition.
This is a lovely spot looking across the bay to the volcano . The location is close enough to Kokopo for easy access but not right in the hustle and bustle. For those early flights out of East New Britain, the free airport shuttle is ideal. I stayed in one of the lower priced rooms which was comfortable but is on the list for refurbishment . Staff are very helpful . Great restaurant too!

Pros: Good sized pool. Lovely staff and environs.. Great views of the volcanos.
Cons: An over-priced menu and fairly dull international menu which doesn't cater well for vegetarians. Eat elsewhere - KBBungalow is better value menu wise
While 'out of town', it only costs 1 Kina on PMVs to get into Kokopo.
