Not for solo travellers!

Pros- amazing view, very quiet at night, beautiful apartment and bathroom. Cons- VERY steep hill to get there. Lots of lizards, bugs (what looked like cockroaches but smaller) and spiders inside, and lots of mosquitos outside. Annoying because I really wanted to sit out on the balcony more but the amount of mosquitos meant I couldn’t so just beware! Please don’t book if you’re a solo traveller as I really didn’t feel safe in the location (wild dogs barking at me when I walked back in the evening) as a girl on my own & couldn’t sleep. Also the walk up the hill is alot to do with a suitcase/bag or even just with nothing, so be aware you need a spare 600 baht each day to taxi somewhere and back (I couldn’t afford that as I was on my own) Also another note reception said they closed at 12 and I went at 11:45 and they had closed it. I told them my air con was broken and they said they’d fix while I was out. Got home in evening still not fixed so sat literally dripping with sweat waiting for someone to come. (Bless him the guy that came to fix was so sweet)

Amazing view from the spacious balcony, large rooms, comfy and clean feel. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely would come back here. Note: it’s a steep hill. Budget in a cab or scooters which you can rent at the reception.

The view was great as were the amenities. The staff were helpful and the location was quiet.

Slice of heaven!

This is an awesome property. Beautiful spacious rooms with excellent views. Staff is very friendly and attentive and took care of all our needs. It's located on a hill so expect some hiking, but the views and seclusion more than makes up for it. The property taxi service is great and super convenient.

Good room, nice view but awful service.

Good room, nice view but awful service. 1- The reception is not 24hr. 2- We had problem with the transfer to Sairee beach, the staff told us during the presentation the transfer to main street was 200b during the day and 300b after 10pm it was . It's also written in the room book. Second day the taxi charged 300b. We complained once we paid 200 before, then the driver said we could find another taxi he wouldn't pick us up anymore, very rude! I called the hotel and the girl said the taxi can charge what he wants! She said it's not the hotel's responsibility. 3-I asked them to call the taxi to pick me up on the Jan 1st, they said their driver was off. They didn't even try to call. Then, I called him from my cellphone and he came!! 4- I asked the reception to call the ferry Company and confirm my boat status due the storm (2:30pm) she said the company would confirm only at 7pm. Then I went to the pier and they said it was cancelled, I managed to buy the ticket from other Company, otherwise I would lose my flight from Samui. Once again, they didn't eve tried. 5- We found out the hot water stopped to work when we got back from new years party, around 5am. On the next day, I called the reception to fix it and she said there is nothing they can do because their were off duty. I asked if we could take shower in another room and she said no. I had no option then to take my cold shower again. as we were brothering them during off work hours. Alex

1.It's state very clearly on Expedia site that the reception is open between 8.00 am-17.00 pm 2 For the convenience of our guest we provide a contact to Mr Lek, driver that regularly work with Koh Tao Heights and provide an excellent service and better price of 200 baht for a ride around Sairee for a maximum of 4 people in a taxi compare to the official price list taxi in Koh Tao which is 400 baht a ride around Sairee .The guest wrote us this lovely review rent 4 rooms and all together was 8 people but didn't want to pay more than 200 baht.The taxi guy just ask them for an extra of 100 baht and this group called the reception yelling the taxi driver try to ripped them off our receptionist try to explain that there is a maximum of 4 people for this price and more that 4 there is an extra charge but they didn't want to listen and they very rudely state that they will write us a very bad review This issue trigger our guest to write this harmful review 3 This group was very rude to Mr.Lek the taxi driver and even they didn't pay him the fair rate he still come to pick them up as he is working at Koh Tao Heights for long time and we always try to do the best for our guest and please them.4This happened on the 5 of January when PABUK tropical storm hit our region we called to all ferry company on Koh Tao to check if the farriers are going out but no one could guarantee as the storm was peaking up. We recommend the guest to contact the ferry company Lomprayah with was the best chance to be able to travel in that condition but could be confirm only at their counter and they took only people with urgent needs to leave the island as people with confirm flight 5.the apartment run out of gas and the gas tank was replace in the next 15 minute after receiving the phone call from the guest yelling at us no gas(Our hot shower running on gas).

Stunning setting, with impeccable views

Excellent place to stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and felt very welcome. They went above and beyond on the smaller details, like candles for black outs, mosquito deterant candles, and even a local Thai phone to use for the duration of our stay. Unfortunately we were met by aggressive dogs when approaching the property by foot. Once we had hired a moped this was not a problem but we felt we were unable to leave by foot at night.

Nice stay in Koh Tao

Had a great overall stay here while in Koh Tao. The room was spacious and had a good view down to Sairee beach. The staff were very helpful and have several arrangements with local taxis and other businesses to make booking excursions or transport easier and included a local cell phone with taxi and restaurant numbers already programmed in to use. They also have free snorkels and masks to borrow if you are looking to check out some of the local beaches and offer motorbike rentals as well. Only drawbacks were that the resort is a bit of a trek to get down to the main area of Sairee beach. The last bit of the walk back to the hotel is up a steep hill, so it's definitely a workout and takes a good 20 min or so walking at a steady pace. Additionally, it took us several nights to figure out how to use the hot water in the shower as it did not work as expected in our room at least. If you run into an issue with water temp, check with the staff as I'm sure they can assist you. Overall, it's a nice place to stay if you don't mind being away from the activity of Sairee beach and prefer taking a taxi, motorbike or a longer walk to get to places.
