"My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Koh Tao Cabana Resort. The staff were very professional and helpful before and during our stay. "WARNING!!!! We booked this accommodation with the belief of a nice magical hotel with great service that could make a week on Koh Tao fantastic. We booked the room with access to the private pool. The hotel is located a bit up on Koh Tao, which is not a problem and something we really knew. What permeates the entire hotel is a lack of service and caring for its guests. "We really enjoyed our stay at the Tarna. Decent breakfast spread without being overly fancy. The free shuttle to and from town (and to and from the ferry) was greatly appreciated. The onsite dive school was excellent and we had great dives with them. The fact that their equipment is in great condition and they have their own traning pool at the hotel were big pluses. We had a room with its own pool, which we really enjoyed - But be aware that these rooms are all facing onto the construction site next door. I estimate that it will be ongoing for at least another year (we stayed in April 2025). To be fair it wasn't that intrusive, but I think potential guests should know about it."
