They were really nice!! My husband was ill and they gave him rice and apple (no charge) and let me take it to the room. The view was super nice. The way to the center was a bit long and rocky to walk but it was ideal to be far away. Breakfast was ok. The lunch we ordered the first day was not very good. WiFi at room very poor. Partial view to the sea, but nice anyway. Not many places to eat or buy near, just 8..10 min walk.

Ok. Here we go……… Upon arrival we were somewhat surprised how “dated” the place was. But once we got over that aspect we truly had an adventurous and wonderful two night stay. There are only a few way to get there from Ko Phi Phi town: Resort provided long boat during certain hours assuming the tides are high enough, along the beach at low tide, or along a lighted path thru the jungle. The latter two impossible if you have luggage. We made a few trip to town by all of the above methods. Our sparse but quaint bungalow was built on the hillside on stilts. Nice little deck overlooking the bay thru the palm trees. This place is only a short kayak trip to Monkey Island. But this wasn’t necessary. On our first day we had at least 10-12 monkeys frolicking around bungalow. Best show ever! There is no AC but we found that the sea breeze and fan kept us cool enough at night. The bed was rock hard but we had one of the best sleeps of our vacation. Breakfast was simple. The staff were most friendliest and accommodating. Earlier in our trip my wife hurt her foot and toe. When the manager found out she took it upon herself to tend to my wife’s wounds and applied an ointment that greatly helped the discomfort. You would never receive this type of treatment at a 5 star resort. In honesty. You need to be a bit rugged and adaptable if you want to stay here. But its well worth the adventure.

Good for short stay

The name of this hotel is really appropriate, as you sit on your balcony you are facing the sunset. It is clearly a different experience to the standard hotel, wooden bungalows on stilts, no ac, access via a steep and irregular stairway. However this is the charm of this hotel along with the personnel and taking a kayak to monkey bay for swimming and snorkeling. It is however a 20 min walk to the beach party and restaurants and after the return with the stomach full it is pretty hot without ac We did have one bad experience when there was a power cut. We returned from a day trip and had no phone or torch to light our way. The staff provided us an oil lamp but the stairs are really dangerous when you can’t see them properly.

IT was a great Hotel to stay in Phi Phi. Direct at the beach and in the Jungle. Shower is private outside. The Walk takes around 20mins from town and is rocky, careful for older peoples. Very lovly team and Kajaks for a low charge.

Mala experiencia

Posted 8 Jan 2019 on Hotels
