A large clean 2 bed bungalow with small pool
Posted 1 Sep 2016 on HotelsSunshine pool villa is set back 20m from Baan Tai beach. The sea here is shallow and the sand corally.
Both bedrooms are doubles and air conditioned.
One bathroom has a shower (wet room style but you have to hold it by hand or you soak the entire room!). The other is just a toilet .
The kitchen has a fridge and freezer a 2 ring hob and cooking utensils / equipment. The living room is huge with a sofa and 2 chairs.
There is also an under cover outside seating area next to the pool.
The bungalow was cleaned daily with fresh pool and house towels each day. Also 4 bottles of mineral water on most days.
The bungalow check in and out is managed by nearby milky bay resort. This is where the problems occur as there is no phone in the bungalow to call if you have problems, we had a few days no wifi and a few days no satellite to. Also you need to get you taxi from the ferry pier to milky bay, do check in and then get taken to the bungalow and the same process in reverse for check out. For the money I would have thought the owners or milky bay would meet you at the bungalow.
Location wise there is some building work around here which tends to start early. The people building the house behind have also put a gate across the government access road so you can't easily drive in and out of the bungalow (it's a long and very pot holed path).

Pros: Beautiful Villa
Cons: Unfortunately if you needed anything you had to walk along a beach which had not so nice areas to get the resorts reception..
Location: A little far from resort
Facilities: Lovely villa;
The manager Miss Ree was amazing she was very accommodating.

Great for friends or families.

Pros: Pool and close to beach
Cons: Average kitchen, but still okay.
Location: Rental of bike is required, not too much within walking distance, only 1 or 2 places for food.
It had a lovely pool, cleaned daily, and very short walk to the beach and great internet. Bed was a bit hard for us, and the kitchen could have done with a few more utensils like microwave and toaster but other than that sunshine residences was great. People must check in at milky bay resort, you can't find sunshine residences on your own. Great place to have a few friends stay at as I can sleep 4 comfortably.

A pretty villa
Posted 10 Sep 2012 on Hotelsgenerally quite nice, except that we spend 2hrs in finding it. the sign is not very clear. The rooms are nice. There is a pool and big kicken which has everything you need to cook. We threw a party in that house.

They try but don't succeed (yet)..
Posted 20 Oct 2011We stayed at the beautiful beach front villa with the plunge Jacuzzi.
When we arrived the water didn't work, and the Jacuzzi didn't work as well.
We called them and after a few hours the water was fixed. The Jacuzzi was fixed the next day, but stopped working again by evening.
Then came a few days when we would find the Jacuzzi not working at morning and hope it will be fixed by evening ...
For this inconvenience we were given a free rental of a jeep for our stay (worth something like 800 baht per day).
After about a week we got back to the house and again the water at the house did not work (meaning -> no sowers or using the bathroom). This took them 12 hours to fix! We were offered a free dinner in return...
The room was advertised as having a DVD player, but they only bought one after we complained.
Even worse was when we found ourselves waking up to the sounds of hammers - apparently there was a construction site just behind our villa(they are building another villa.) . we complained and were assured that that day was the last day of construction, but after the weekend the construction started again, and we were just too tired to complain again..
There were other issues like laundry not getting back on time but I think you got the picture..
The staff tries to do its best and help and apologize, and maybe with a bit more practice they will improve, they are nice people.
So this isn't luxury, and they don't REALLY speak English- but the house is beautiful :)
