The new manager , of one week is excellent (thank you MOSS). The resort is in a very good location, right on the beach and close to the village. Maintenace and upkeep of the rooms seemed to have been neglected. The cost of accommodation is far to expensive for the condition and standard of the rooms. Work is underway to build an on site pool and new reception area and landscapping hopefully follows. I believe the new manager has the ability to lift the standard necessary to justify the prices charged.

Partially built & terrible! Worst food in Thailand
Posted 23 Jan 2019 on HotelsThis hotel is a joke... under construction, terrible food, terrible service, easily the worst breakfast I've ever experienced! A complete rip off! Horrible location... Furious!! Sewage pipe directly next to restaurant! Sea view... =back of another building! Refer to pictures! Save your money don't book here!!! :-(

Just this one clarification on your remarks, the rest I'll leave up to other, happy reviewers that stayed at Pawapi.
The blue pipe (I agree not the most scenic) is the rainwater drainage pipe from the runoff rainwater from the property behind Pawapi.

Good location, nice beach, pretty bungalows and villas. Some facilities are still under construction.

perfect beach getaway
Posted 22 Apr 2018 on HotelsWe had a wonderful stay in this cute hotel - we loved our raised bungalow and the porch looking right over the sea, the delicious food in the restaurants, and the beautiful beach scenery. Staff were attentive, very friendly and helpful in arranging trips and boat outings. It was quite a quiet island and beach during our stay, but it's a short walk to a busier area with more restaurants and a bar or two.

Staff got a bit confused with room booking. Some staff weren’t helpful.

stunning beachfront resort
Posted 10 Jan 2018 on Hotelsreally stunning location right on the beach. we were upgraded from a beachfront bungalow to a beachfront villa. the villa was stunning and only meters from the water at high tide.
only negatives... for the price, I'd expect them to have a pool and for the breakfast to be bit better (ie. fresh juices, better bread and jam, etc.)
