Resort is in on its own, to get to main strip you have to walk round cliff - we went to main strip to eat - more choice and slightly cheaper - but it meant eating early - so could be back to resort before dark - 7pm. The good: free and easy kayaks and snorkel equipment and incredible location! Like amazingly gorgeous and some great snorkeling right next to the hotel, paradise beach a short kayak down the beach. Plenty of loungers on the beach. One of the cheaper places to stay in Koh Ngai.
The bad: it felt a bit...tired. The rooms were kept moderately clean, the pool was in desperate need of a clean up. The breakfast that came with the room was continental and it wasn’t very nice..:all of the food was pretty bad as a matter of fact. Very few vegetarian options as well. Service at the bar and restaurant was ridiculously slow. Better food down on the main beach at other restaurants. It feels like the resort and its staff jsut decided to stop caring. They weren’t rude per say, they just didn’t seem to care at all.
Should be noted that the path that connects this hotel with the hotels on the main beach is a rocky, 15 minute walk on a Dyer and sometime slippery path, would not be suitable for those with limited mobility, there are long boats that cbs pick you up at the pier and take you to the main beach.
