Pretty decent budget hotel. We were reasonably comfortable there. The bungalows are detached which means you don't hear the noise of the neighbours which is good. They provide breakfast which is a bonus and a paid for laundry service which we used. There was also a small safe in the room which was good. The couple who ran it were nice. It's a bit out of town which meant it was quiet but a bit of a hike up a hill to get back. We didn't have a scooter so were walking. The rooms could probably do with a bit of decorating / updating as they are quite tired, especially the bathroom. Our air conditioner was leaking and they said someone would come and fix it, but this didn't happen. It says on expedia that they provide a free ferry shuttle service. We were taken to the ferry but for 200 Baht. I should really have queried that but I didn't.

Average

We choose this place because of 5 star reviews, standards in Lanta must be low as this is average at best. Firstly I’d like to say the couple that own the place are lovely, always smiling and extremely helpful. They even picked us up from the port at short notice. The prices for excursion were also good. The Breakfast: you get two options, Thai/American. We went with the American and had one egg,one sausage, ham, toast, jam and butter. It was okay, nothing special. The Room: spacious and tidy but not clean. There were dead insects on the floor. We also slept with a lizard on the wall. There was signs of what looked like bird poop all around the walls including the bathroom. I would recommend cleaning/repainting the walls. Also no hot water. The Location: Not far from long beach if you hire a moped, about 3-4 minutes. Off the Main Street in a quiet area, on the hill overlooking forest. Excellent view Extra: you can rent a moped through them, it is cheap but for a reason - the one we were given was badly maintained - looked like the worst bike in the city, the brakes were poor and it was not very stable, could only drive 30-40max before swaying, the first night it had a flat tyre and we had to pay to have it repaired although we do not believe we caused it(we barely drove it, was extremely careful and did not go fast). Good point - It was quickly replaced to a much better model which seemed road worthy. Overall, satisfied with the people but not with the room.

Clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet

Posted 8 Dec 2018 on Hotels
Our room was spacious and spotless. The view of the hillside is beautiful. The shower has two showerhead options, depending on if you want rainfall or heated. The included breakfast was lovely. Most importantly, my husband and I had a moped accident during our stay and had to be transported 2.5 hrs away after the local clinic assessed the seriousness of our injuries, and when the owner was notified, he quickly brought our passports from our room to the clinic. He also packed up our things to be taken by cab to the Trang hospital when it became obvious our vacation was over. I had asked him to check the fridge and please include the bottle of Brut we'd bought to celebrate me getting my advanced open water cert and more than doubling my dives in a week, and he double bubble wrapped the bottle for us as well. Their thoughtfulness, effortless hospitality, and overall friendliness can't be overstated. Oh and they have one of the friendliest cats we came upon in our Thai travels! Thank you again, Keereelay, next time we are in Koh Lanta we look forward to staying with you in the future

So helpful!

We had a wonderful stay! The staff is SO helpful and friendly! We would highly recommend, as we would love to stay there again when we return to Lanta. They helped us book ferry tickets to Langkawi and at the promotional price! We preferred the Thai/Asian breakfast over the Western breakfast. They rented us a scooter for a really great price, and they were very fair. They only charged us 1.5 days instead of 2 (even at the very cheap price) because we only started the rental midday. Thank you SO much! You are awesome! Stay in touch: youtube . com / adventureviv

A perfect 6-day stay!

Posted 2 May 2017 on Hotels
The couple running the property are extremely kind and hard working people and they are always attentive with their guests! The most honest good treatment we received in Thailand. The room was very clean all the time, the breakfasts and optional dinners were among the most delicious and carefully cooked Thai food we had. Very good location on a calm and green hill with a beautiful garden and views on the mountain. The free use of bikes made it very convenient to access everything around, plus we received tips on the island and help booking day trips and transfers. Wishing the couple running the property all the best and lots of guests that appreciate honest places such as this one!

Basic lodge but hosts more than make up for it

Posted 19 Feb 2017 on Hotels
Don't pick this accomodation if you want some fancy room and great comfort. You'll be better off spending more money for a luxury hotel on the island. However, if you are happy with clean but basic accomodation with amazing hosts who will help you with any request you have without overcharging you for it ( breakfast, dinner, motorbike rental, shuttle, ...), then this place is for you. I would recommend to rent a scooter/bike for moving around. Riding in Koh Lanta is really easy. That being said, because some roads are not in great condition and aren't lit at night, make sure to be extra careful. If you decide to walk, then the closest beach is about 20 minutes away. Their home made (Thai) breakfast is amazing as long as you like chicken and rice :). We were a bit disappointed with the laundry service where some of our clothes were returned with stains. We may have simply been unlucky. The water pressure in the shower is weak but that is fairly common on islands and that was enough for our needs.

Sweet owners, jungle living

Posted 11 Jul 2016 on Hotels
We had a wonderful stay! The owners are some of the nicest we have encountered yet on our 6 months of travel. They picked us up from the ferry and helped us plan our trip to the next island on our list. Great room, air con, wifi and free breakfast. Be prepared for 10-15 minutes walk to dinner, or rent a scooter or take a bicycle for free. Loved the jungle living atmosphere!

Great hotel

Posted 8 Oct 2015 on Hotels
We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel. The hotel is about a year old and run by the nicest couple. It's about a 10 minute walk to the main road but they offer complimentary bicycles and offer scooter rentals. The breakfast was probably the best we have had during our month traveling around Thailand. It was a traditional Thai breakfast one day and an English fry the second. Will definitely stay again!
