Have stayed here a couple of times in the past. The hotel is nice, inexpensive, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.
All in all, it's a good choice for a night's rest.
Location is not great. While it's just across the road from Shimonoseki strait coastline, access to the shoreline is very limited by industrial areas. Also very limited dining options, outside the hotel's onsite dining room.

The property is so old and not maintained well. We had a smoking room which was the last choice. Even though the room was a "smoking room" the room has been well absorbed smoke, so that we couldn't breathe. Was a worst smoking room we have never had before.

Route Inn Mojiko
Posted 18 Jan 2018 on HotelsGreat little basic hotel but not so convenient if you don’t have a car. The local train is about 15 minutes walk away which is not so bad.
Has all you need.

Convienent from the highway
Posted 6 Oct 2016 on HotelsI stayed here for a pitstop on a drive from Kyoto to South Kyuushu. It's very easy to reach from the Kanmon bridge. They have a free public bath on the top floor and all amenties. Feels great to relax there after a long drive.

Straightforward Japanese business hotel
Posted 6 Dec 2015 on HotelsA fairly general Japanese business hotel. The area is pretty industrial near the port. Not for sightseeing. But if you need a no nonsense business hotel, this is it.
Also just in general, if you have a car, it's just as accesible as business hotels in shimonoseki, even if you're coming from Yamaguchi area. (I had to work at Mine in Yamaguchi, and the extra commute over the bridge wasn't a big deal)
