The Nyungwe Nziza was fine, but I don't think it's worth more than about $60/night. There shouldn't be more than one guest room per hut, because they are not at all soundproof, and if the property is not full, staff should space out the guests. I didn't like that the walking path went directly outside the room windows. The bathroom was poorly lit, there were only bath towels (no hand towels or washcloths) and there was only low-quality bar soap provided in the way of toiletries. Wifi didn't really work anywhere, and the restaurant was overpriced.

Dear Genevieve,we can host 3 guests by hut. And all the huts ( wood cottages ) are soundproof. All sanitary facilities are italian !And about the towels, we have towels in all the rooms, tents and cottages. And soap, tooth brush and tooth paste. We have a good wifi at the reception. And the prices for the restaurant are the rwandan prices,Best regards.

Not a fan, over priced!
Posted 18 Feb 2023 on HotelsIn our opinion this area is super over priced and so was the hotel. In our room we had no closet or hangers, no desk, no bed side table, nothing to put your stuff or hang clothes.
WiFi is only at the lobby and sadly it never worked!
We had no water for over half a day.
The staff was 50/50 some were friendly and helpful like the French manager but others not helpful or nice at all.
I’d look elsewhere

Dear Barry,we have hangers in every rooms to put the clothes.Do you need a desk in your holidays ?The configuration of the room does not allow us to install a bed side table. The WiFi work well at the lobby. I use it every days.We had no water for half day because accidently, the pipe broke in the middle of Nyungwe forest in the night. The problem was solved at 2 pm.Best regards

The property has a wonderful view of the neighboring tea plantations and misty Nyungwe forests. Great base to be if you want to go on day excursions from Uwinka reception center. The wooden cottage was very well built with good insulation from the cold, kettle was a nice touch. They provided a full and hearty breakfast. The cottages are located up a very steep slope, would not recommend if guests have major mobility concerns.
