Excellent directions were given, and upon arrival we were very pleasantly surprised. We bagged a real bargain and everything was perfect with the cottage from start to finish. We used this cottage as a base to get to York (one of the busiest weekends due to Christmas Market), and although a little further out - the weekend...

"A great central location for a weekend break in Masham. The barn was modern and clean and big enough for us as a family of four. Everything we needed was provided. We had come early evening following the Polar Express (Wensleydale) train ride in December, so it was a bit cold and took a while to heat up with its big rooms/high ceilings. However, by the next morning it was warm and cosy. Would stay again and definitely recommend "

"Beds and location was fantastic, never slept so well. ..1 or 2 bits would make it a lttle more comfortable: plumbing difficulties causing flooding, dryer didnt work, dishwasher didnt clean the dishes and the property was a little cold. Also pans were not suitable for a gas hob and a non stich frying pan would be useful. Owners very friendly and helpful. Thanks"

"This is a beautifully appointed cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's in a quiet location looking out onto a courtyard. Although there is no onsite parking, we had no trouble finding a parking space on the square. Visitors should also be aware that there is no outdoor seating area but we were out and about so this wasn't a problem for us. We would recommend the fish and chip place - but go for small fish and chips! The large are for those with a very large appetite! ...
