"Bed was comfortable but the whole property needs some updating. The breakfast was good, staff very friendly and accommodating, it just feels like the property on the whole is past its peak and it needs an overall renovation to bring it up to todays standards and aesthetic. "

Location is great, amenities like Tesco, McDonalds are literally opposite. Town is just a couple of minutes walk away."

"We stayed in Cottage A as a family of 6. It is a very beautiful cottage and it was set up with a beautiful Christmas tree. The host was very friendly and helpful, and had the fire in the living room set up burning already, and the hot tun already set up ready to go. It was very clean and everything is very modern and just beautiful. Unfortunately we didnt get to spend much time admiring the views because it was raining a and very windy/ cold. Without the kids we could have done more exploring...

"The owner Julianna was very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is fantastic. The interior of the property is amazing, in fact it’s jaw dropping. Even her lovely cuddly dog (bear) will give you a warm welcome. Highly recommend."

"As a traveling salesperson, this was a great find. offering good value for money. Clean room and the bed was better then most of the hotels I have stayed in for many years. I will be using Ashleigh Guest House again on my visits to the area. "

"We had a problem accessing the security key numbers - x2 - necessary to get into the property. Hotels.com app failed and both tel calls and emails to the owner failed for over 2 hours. Finally got access. Will probably mean that I won’t stay in accommodation that doesn’t have a front desk in future. Otherwise a comfortable stay near centre of town. Clean, quiet with plenty of room. Missing coffee pods in supplies left for guests. Thank you."

"Firstly we were ungraded from a two bedroom to an entire apartment. We were staying for just two nights. On arrival we were welcomed warmly by Mary's lovely sister who showed us to the apartment. It was fabulous. Large and spacious, it had everything we could possibly need. Later Gerard came to show us how everything worked and asked what time we would like breakfast next morning. He and Mary brought breakfast which was freshly cooked and piping hot. Loved the freshly squeezed orange juice. ...

What a host!

"Booked a short stay and chose Crockgarve after reading the reviews. To be honest it seemed too good to be true but I am thrilled to be proven wrong. The location and room was stunning and exactly what we needed for our stay. What really made it special was Margo. Margo could not do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible from the welcome drink with her and her husband to the amazing breakfasts, you are made to feel so welcome and part of the family. Margo makes it seem effortless but could run a master class for other businesses on how to do this !! We will be back and bring the family next time!"
