The beach was in your backyard. I’ve seen multiple turtles. There’s a cute delicious deli on the property. Away from the busy areas but close enough for a short drive. Just a perfect getaway

Highly recommend staying here. Super clean, friendly staff and just far enough away that it’s not “in town” but is just a 5 minute drive to whatever you may need. The beach area you can walk up and down for at least a mile and get away from other people if you want more seclusion. Definitely coming back!

Needs to be updated, rug worn out and dirty. Sliding door hard to use.

I loved that this was a bit more secluded than the dense condo areas, yet still central to all of the activities we wanted to do. Would definitely stay there again

Our second stay at Sugar Beach Resort. It’s not a 5 star resort but we’re not 5 star people. The place has everything we need, and all of the amenities! When we return to Maui next year, Sugar Beach will be our home.

The location was desirable, parking great, ground pretty well kept , beach was nice. We stayed in a unit that had not been updated,, it was carpeted with stains etc, if you leave ac turned up when you left, bad Oder when you returned, the toilet needed to be replaced, broken floor tile need replaced it was just overall well below average in appearance and upkeep, I’ll possibly stay at the complex again, but never in that unit again! I think Expedia owes it to their customers to not let units like this be in their inventory pool, after all the payment was made to Expedia not the condo owner
