This property has never been updated since it was purchased. From the ancient decor and furniture to the cabinetry this property is in dire need of a Reno. The paint is discoloured and marks everywhere with the countertops having temporary grout because of damage. The tv at times would work mostly not and the water pressure for the toilets was horrible often not flushing properly. The only thing that makes this unit worth staying in is past tenants leaving beach items for reuse. The description of this unit is general to all the units of this site therefore deceptive. I was super disappointed with the up keep of this unit. There should be standards required for each rental unit to be upgraded. The only bonus is walkability to the beach and town.

Perfect location. Check in was easy. Called next day to see if we needed anything, everything was simple. Noise from the cars is loud but quiets at 9pm. Furniture was old, but clean.
Only one beach chair was in a closet and it was ripped and unusable, minor.
Lots of towels, bedding and an overall friendly spot to spend sometime away.

I was very happy with our condo. It was perfect for our family, although the property manager was extra annoying and he does not know how to communicate with guests. One of my doors got locked the day we arrived and I asked him if he knew how to open the door. He said I had to contact the property owner. Because he couldn’t do anything about it. Everyone else was nice except for him. He was always checking on us and we caught him taking pictures of us without our permission, when he could just come to us and let us know what we were doing wrong, my sister approached him and asked him why he explained and he started yelling “get off my property” when she was standing on the grass. Our last night there we were at the pool and once again he came and started saying things at my daughter and another girl she was playing with, she said no diving but before they did that there was another family doing the same thing and we didn’t see him come to tell them anything. Like I said everything was great. My only issue was that grumpy and annoying so called property manager.

The resident manager is dreadful. He is rude aggressive and abrasive. We were treated very poorly by him. He berated my 25 year old daughter for parking our rental bikes in the wrong area. Even after she appologised he was still very aggressive and rude. Later in the afternoon she and I were swimming and he came and screamed at us that there was no running or canon balling in the pool. We were not doing either. I tried to tell him we were not, he just kept pointing to the rules sign and repeating "there are rules for safety". We are not children. We were just floating in the pool. No apologising calmed him. He was Awful. We left 2 days early and rented a new condo elsewhere for the remainder of our stay.
We will never rent at Maui Park Shores again. The grounds are beautiful. But being outside of your condo leaves room for a run in with the dreadful resident manager.The condo was run down. The carpet was pretty gross and the couch was all stained up. 2 Thumbs down. It is cheep for a reason. For the sake of your vacation spend a little more and go elsewhere.

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback regarding the resident manager of this condo. We have since reported his behavior to the President of the organization and they will be addressing this for us. However, I am confused by your feedback regarding the condo. We spoke with you multiple times throughout the stay and you never had any issues with the condo itself. In fact, you even left a documented review on Expedia's In-House feedback feature saying you were pleased with your accommodations and property rating. It seems your experience with the resident manager has affected the way you feel about the physical condo also. We will look into these complaints that were never reported to us and address them accordingly, if necessary.
