Closed bar and restaurant
Posted 7 Jun 2022 on HotelsBar and restaurant is shut, nothing on my booking to say this, looks like they open it when they feel like it, as it was set for a wedding for next day. when i asked staff all i got was "it says on their website it is shut, and this has happened before hotels.com hasnt updated their information". Nice pub down the road where we spent all evening instead

This hotel was awful
Posted 13 Oct 2020 on HotelsThe room was a chilly 13 degrees C, we had to request towels, there are no water glasses in the room. The cleanliness is abysmal, there was long dark hair all over the bathroom floor and shower and I am platinum blonde. The teaspoon in the tea set was unwashed, and there was only decaf.
We were charged a late check in fee of £15 for checking in after 7pm even though the site says check in til 11pm. No plug sockets anywhere near the beds. The actual look and feel of the rooms don’t reflect the general photos.

Room was bog standard with paint on bathroom floor and rusting in the hand soap holder. we found a long hair in the bed too. But staff were lovely, room was clean and bed was comfy. Peaceful and quiet night had. Breakfast was nice too so not a bad experience overall.
