Property just emerging from covid. Really not ready, as pool was a sickening green and floating room covered in layers of dirt. For the $$$ it was a poor value.

The resort and area as a whole is just coming back from Covid , and needs some attention to basic repair and maintenance. That being said a lovely local village with amazing friendly people and very chill.

A very fun, relaxing, sleepy little village.
Posted 5 May 2018 on HotelsLaos is a magic place and this small resort with two pools on the Mekong River is perfect for your comfortable Villa. The waterfall and zip line water park made out of the natural water spring that flows into the yielding river is a blast of a river adventure and only a short 2.5 Miles from you villa on the Mekong.

I love it here... a must travel destination!
Posted 5 May 2018 on HotelsI love it here. They have two great pools, one on the river and one across the dirt street where your villa is which is smaller. Laos is as country as it gets, very inexpensive and farmland everywhere. With that said you can get anything you want from bottles of good California, French & Spanish wine to any beer, bread, the best sticky rice on the planet and anything your heart desires in this magical land. This is Laos so if you are expecting nature, a culture that is unlike anything you have experienced, natural farm food & river fish that is excellent in my opinion, however for picky people that need 5 star treatment & freak out over an ant crawling on their precious plate, there might be a problem with this type of person, hence these types of people are missing the point of why you traveled to LAOS in the first place. The Laoasian people are warm, happy, loving, and smiling all the time! The roads are dirt. The waterways are beautiful but sometimes plastic from the tourist world and first world styrofoam remind you of how this beautiful farm land of a country is forever affected by China in the North filling this planet their endless factories of plastics! Laos is the safest place you will visit in your life & this little gem of a resort is a great bang for your buck... the aesthetics, the artwork, the architecture and the overall feeling will make you feel very lazy and relaxed as you plop into the pool.

Wonderful experience
Posted 13 Apr 2018Stayed in one of the Floating Studios for four night. Right on the Mekong River connected to the bank by a short bridge. Room clean, quiet and air-conditioned with dark curtains and absolutely no bugs. Hardly felt any sways despite the passing river traffic. Breakfast sufficient with nice Laos coffee. Enjoyed sunset right from the balcony. Connecting river boat from Nakasang stops directly at the hotel pier. Staff service excellent. Booked all activities, rides and return transfer through hotel. Walkable distance to other restaurants and old railway bridge. About an hour's walk to Somphamit Falls through rice paddies and Khon Phapheng Falls passing Ban Khone Nua then by the river. Faster if going by bike. Dined in hotel restaurant only once and food is average. Swam in the river right off the hotel. Refreshing despite moderate current. Outdoor swimming pool a delightful plus.

Great small hotel on Don Khon
Posted 20 Jan 2018 on HotelsWe were given an upgrade on arrival, to a spacious room on the other side of the road from the hotel restaurant and overlooking a small pool. We loved the room and the hotel restaurant must be about the best place on Don Khon from which to watch the sunset - which we did over cocktails (the pina colada was particularly good). Very helpful staff. My one suggestion is that breakfast could be improved.

Too expensive for what you get
Posted 12 May 2017We booked two nights, the room was spacious but no frills, the outlook from the front verandah was not pleasant. The breakfast was almost uneatable. The staff were not very helpful. I think there would be better options available on either island.

Great Riverside accommodation
Posted 17 Apr 2017 on HotelsWe had a great stay and really enjoyed the Riverside Bungalow. It was lovely to wake up in the morning with the views of the Mekong and also to watch the sunset from our balcony. We have marked the room condition down as it rained heavily one night and the roof leaked, our backpacks, bags and shoes got soaking wet. The breakfast was good, ask for eggs and they will cook you some fresh. We used the pool besides the river bungalows which was very clean. Very relaxing place to stay and a very quiet Island. Would recommend.
