We plan our trips a year in advance. This was our 4th trip as a couple to the keys. So first off, the pictures on line are not represenative of the faciltiy. At first glance it looks like "old town" but well maintained. The room was hot, had a window unit AC and was pretty uncomfortable the entire stay. The continental breakfast was disgusting. Typical cereal, milk, juice, hard bread and bagels and stale muffins. Sandwich sliced ham and cheese served 8 am to 10 pm. Only 2 lounge chairs by the pool. We stayed 5 days and requested our room cleaned with fresh towels daily and we slept in a dirty room the entire time. The front desk staff were very kind and seemed nice and helpful, but the amenities were lacking. Parking was inconvenient. The Heron House is next door to a large home that I believe housed homeless people. It was just a rough experience to have driven 14 hours from home to visit on our summer vacation. It all around was a bad experience in combination with other things going on. So much so, that it will be our last trip to Key West. Don't book here. Just a suggestion.

we can not respond to this review when you are adding in things that are beyond anyone's control .. the house next door to us have never housed homeless they all pay rent .. we are sorry other things were on your mind and tainted your complete stay ... however we had almost everyone that checked in the same weekend re book for next year ...

Everything was good. The only issue we had was the air conditioner did not keep the room very cool. Could not sleep with blankets. They should switch the window the unit is in or add another unit. But that was our only complaint.

This was our first visit and will not be the last. The staff was great and our accommodations were great. Thank you for everything!

Definitely a tropical Key West feel. Good breakfast and excellent coffee. Great for walking to many different places. Will book our next trip there.
