We loved the location of the property and the grounds….
Our room was comfortable and practical, although it looked a bit tired in places I think it just added to the character of the place…

Posted 11 Jul 2023 on HotelsAlways make a booking based on your recommendations. This was categorized as fabulous, quite angry when we left early as it was a horrendous stay. Booked for two nights left after one even though we had to pay for the full two nights. The review said free public Wi-Fi but was informed not available in the room. When we explained that we needed Wi-Fi we were told that we could have another room with Wi-Fi but it would cost us another £200! We were told that there was Wi-Fi down in the ground floor, but we had to walk around to find somewhere for a decent signal. I didn’t sleep all night as the pillows felt like bouncy spounges and it was hot under the douvay and cold in the room. It took 20 minutes drive to the nearest civilization. Would not have booked this hotel if the description by yourselves were more accurate. Hated the hotel but very disappointed with hotels.com

The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough. The property on the outside could do with a bit of spruce up as it was looking a little tried. If you are looking for a low key stay with a quiet ambience this is for you. I will be coming back as both me and the wife enjoyed the whole experience and look forward to coming back.

An excellent experience at the Scafell Hotel with such a friendly atmosphere. The staff were lovely and the food was amazing. When we had our Christmas lunch it was a lovely touch that the owner came around the room to welcome all of his guests. The open fires in the bar and lounge made it such a cosy and welcoming place to stay. I would definitely recommend the Scafell and look forward to returning one day.
