My Place on the Rhine
Posted 9 Oct 2017 on HotelsThis was our third time to stay at the Hotel & Restaurant Krone in Kestert and we have always been treated like family (the good side). We love relaxing in this little village on the Rhine River and watching the barges go by. The food has improved since our last visit and everything we tried this time was delicious. The beer wasn’t bad either.

Our room was near road, with no air conditioning or fan. Was a little bit to warm and noise for my tastes

Lovely place to stay on the Rhine

Pros: Friendly staff, good food
Cons: A lift to replace the stairs
Location: Take a cruise down the Rhine and see Lorely. Also make the trip to Cologne
We were greeted by Mareen who was very helpful throughout. Relaxed atmosphere and nice surroundings. We had a top floor room overlooking the Rhine which was lovely. Good continental breakfast and the option for the half board menu which was reasonably priced. We ate in a few times and the food was very good. Must recommend the beef goulash with dumplings. The room was clean and tidy and whilst small it adequately caters for the need of the tourist. Andreas was a lovely guy who speaks very good English and was always helpful and willing to assist. Would definitely stay again!

Great Little Family Feel Hotel on the River
Posted 5 Oct 2015 on HotelsGreat hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful view of the valley off your balcony on the river. Yummy breakfast at no extra charge. Rooms are a little tiny, balcony is as big as the room, but comfortable! Would definitely stay here again. Great hotel for the price!

Verbleven in de familie kamer. Upgrade gehad. Heerlijk gegeten in hun restaurant en smorgens hadden we een super uitgebreid ontbijt buffet. Ligging direct langs de Rijn.
